The Atlanta Falcons took care of their business yesterday by securing a 31-7 victory over the win-less Indianapolis Colts. Any hope of an upset was immediately squashed on the second play of the game, when Falcons linebacker Curtis Lofton forced a fumble, which was recovered by defensive end Ray Edwards. Five plays later, Michael Turner punched in a one-yard touchdown run. Rookie wide reciever Julio Jones made his return to the field after missing the last two games. He only had three catches…for 131 yards and two touchdowns. His first catch was an incredible fifty-yard diving grab into the endzone amidst three Colts defenders. He later caught a quick slant pass, and burst into the open field. Eighty yards later he had his second touchdown of his career. His last catch was only a two-yarder, but I’ll give him a pass on that one. He is the first rookie reciever since 1998 to catch two touchdown receptions of fifty yards or more in one game. Welcome back Julio.
